Master studies offered by the DAC

Master's DegreesMaster degrees are university studies offering higher education which is specialised or multidisciplinary and based around academic or professional training or preliminary research studies. The UPC offers masters that are approved by the Spanish government in accordance with the directives issued by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and masters approved by the university itself.

The Master in Computer Architecture, Networks and Systems (CANS)

The DAC offers the Master  in Computer Architecture, Networks and Systems (CANS). The aim of this Master’s Degree is to train researchers who will work internationally and be able to integrate themselves in any research and development centre – public or private, national or international – in the fields of computer architecture, high-performance computers, operating systems, computer networks and distributed systems.

The Erasmus Mundus in Distributed Computing (EMDC)

The Erasmus Mundus programme in Distributed Computing (EMCD) is a cooperation between KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden, Instituto Superior Tecnologico in Portugal and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. It is a two-year Master's programme including compulsory mobilty for the students. This master aims at giving the best possible foundation for a career in research and development of scalable and reliable distributed systems. After the program, students should not only understand and be able to use large distributed systems but they should be capable of designing and constructing such systems.
