Presentation
I am currently working on Multiprocessor Operating Environments for
Parallel Applications. This work is being carried in the Operating Systems and Microkernels Group
(GSOMK), within the High Performance
Computing Group of the Department of
Computer Architecture.
My work is focused on the following areas:
- Extensibility
- User-level processor management and scheduling
- Characterization of Parallel Applications

Production
We have developed implementations of the PARMACS Macros to use with the
SPLASH-2 Parallel Application benchmark. The code is available if you happen
to be interested on it. If so, please contact gsomk@ac.upc.es. Code is available
for the following interfaces:
- BSD
- System V IPC
- Sprocs for Irix (SGI)
- PThreads
- Lightweight Processes - lwp (Solaris & HP-UX)
- Solaris Threads
- CThreads for Mach 3.0
- NT will be available in the (near, we hope) future
