CAP

Introduction

This group investigates techniques that improve the efficiency of high-performance computer systems. This objective is treated from different perspectives that require a certain degree of cooperation: uniprocessor and multiprocessor system architecture, compiler, operating system, analysis tools, visualization and prediction, algorithms and applications. To measure efficiency, metrics that go beyond the execution time of programs are considered. In particular, aspects related to the design of the system (operating cycle, area and power consumption of the processor and memory hierarchy, scalability of the uniprocessor and multiprocessor organization), with the functional verification of the systems, with the ease are considered. and the portability of the programming model and with performance in multiprogrammed and distributed environments, among others.
